The short answer.

Dyed is the cheapest and gives you the look and privacy. Carbon adds real heat rejection for a middle price. Ceramic blocks the most heat, which matters most in a Georgia summer. If you mostly want the look, dyed is fine. If the heat bugs you, pay for ceramic.

Heat figures are from Hitek's spec sheets, measured at a 5% shade. Hitek says every film carries a nationwide lifetime warranty. Ask us for the written terms before you book. Lighter shades block less heat. Shade colors show Georgia law as of October 2026: green is legal on every window, outlined is rear side and back windows only on a car, and gray is not legal on a car.

How to pick.

Pick dyed if

You want privacy and a dark look for the lowest price, and heat is not your main complaint. Hitek's dyed film is built for a steady color, so it should hold its tone, but it blocks the least heat of the three.

Pick carbon if

You want noticeably less heat than dyed without paying for ceramic. It is a solid middle choice for a daily driver.

Pick ceramic if

You park outside, sit in traffic, or have kids or pets in the back seat. It blocks the most infrared heat, so the cabin stays cooler and the A/C works less.

Shade matters too. A darker shade blocks more heat and gives more privacy, but Georgia limits how dark each window can go. See the Georgia tint law for the limits, or use the tint tool on the home page to see each shade on your car.

What it costs.

Starting prices for a full car start at $225 for dyed, $350 for carbon and $550 for ceramic. SUVs, trucks and vans cost more because there is more glass. See the full table on the pricing page, or pick your exact make and model on the home page for a price.

Heat figures come from Hitek's published spec sheets, measured at a 5% shade, so a lighter shade blocks less. Hitek says its films carry a nationwide lifetime warranty. Ask us for the written terms before you book.
