Georgia's medical window tint exemption
Georgia lets people who need darker tint for a medical reason apply for an exemption through the state. Here is what to know.
What it is
It is a state exemption for drivers who need darker tint than the normal limits allow. It is applied for through the state, not through a tint shop.
Keep the paperwork
If you have the exemption, keep the paperwork in the vehicle. Without it, a darker shade is just a shade darker than the limit.
Check the current rules
Requirements can change, so check with the state for who qualifies and what the exemption covers, including whether it covers a full windshield. We cannot tell you whether you qualify.
What to tell the shop
